Well not much to report today. Just enjoying my last day of semi quiet. Today is my daughter's last day of school before Christmas vacation. So that means two weeks of both kids being home driving me insane. Hopefully I will be able to pawn them off for a day to two at least. Otherwise they will bug the crap about of me for the entire two weeks with fighting. Of course after Christmas they will have things to keep them busy hopefully. I can safely say they are both going to be very happy with what Santa bring them this year. I literally made a list of everything they said they wanted and tried very hard to get exactly what they asked for. See it's easy for kids, husbands on the other hand are not so easy. I never know what to get my husband for any holiday or birthday. He always says he doesn't want anything. But of course I have to get him something. LOL I found a couple of things this year and I have one more thing in mind, but I have to wait and see if I can find a decent priced (product name with held until after the holidays). LOL
I've been sick for the past two days. Some sort of stomach thing. Not sure what the problem was but it hasn't been fun. It seems to be subsiding for now. I hope it stays that way. I am planning on making fajitas for dinner and I hate to eat it only to have to throw it up later. LOL. There are just a few things that are really awful to throw up in case you wanted to know. Number one on that list is apples. I used to throw those up when I was pregnant and it's awful. A tie for second would have to be popcorn and noodles. Popcorn is still hard when comes back up and noodles get stuck in your nose. Disgusting I know but I felt you needed to know these things. LOL
The last thing I have on my mind is the tv show Oddities on the science channel. I LOVE THIS SHOW! At first I thought it was going to be super stupid but it's actually pretty awesome. I wish I lived close enough to go there. I probably couldn't afford to buy anything but I'd be in there all the time looking anyway. I just love weird stuff and this place is the mecca of weird stuff. I don't know about the dried up dead cats or anything like that but the skulls and especially all the preserved butterflies and moths look cool. I don't know, I could probably look around for hours and find all sorts of things I'd love to decorate my house with. Anyway, if you haven't watched it yet you should. It's awesome. Even my kids love the show.
Well I will try to get back on here before Christmas but if I don't, I hope you all have a very wonderful Christmas or whatever holiday you choose to celebrate this time of year.

Thanksgiving
So tomorrow is Thanksgiving day. I am pretty excited about it. I am doing all of the cooking for my family which includes, me, my husband and kids, my in laws and my mother. Normally it's just the four of us but I went a little nuts this year and decided to invite everyone else too. We always have too much food anyway so we may as well share it and then I wont have nearly as many leftovers. LOL
My menu includes the ever important turkey, which is huge this year, I've injected it with Cajun spices and it is now sleeping peacefully in the fridge awaiting the sauna tomorrow. Next and almost just as important are the mashed potatoes. I debated on whether the dressing should come before potatoes but for me, potatoes are way more important then dressing. So yeah, there will be dressing that I am making from scratch this year. Normally I use stove top stuffing but I wanted this years to be, well....good. LOL Also there will be green beans with bacon, rolls and gravy. That is the Thanksgiving dinner anyway.
Next is the dessert. I am making three, count them, THREE pies. One pumpkin, one pecan and one cherry. I figure that covers everyone. I just hope there is plenty of pie left over for evening snacking. Most people want leftover turkey, not me, I want leftover dessert. :)
But my main thing this year is that we will all be together enjoying this homemade meal under my roof. I am loving that whole thing. It's a total Norman Rockwell fantasy I guess. But it's going to be great. And my kids will grow up remembering our homemade thanksgiving dinners. And that thought makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I am thankful for all my friends, old and new, I am thankful for the health and happiness of all my family, I am thankful for my husband who is the best husband ever and I am thankful for my two beautiful, healthy children. I hope you all have long lists of things to be thankful for and wonderful people you are thankful to have in your lives. May your holiday be the best one ever...until next year. LOL Ya know one thing I forgot to mention I am thankful for....not having to go shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Now that's something. LOL Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Selling hemp?
Well this is my very first blog ever! So yeah...I hope it doesn't suck. But basically I am a stay at home mom and have way too much time on my hands. So about a year or so ago I started making hemp jewelry. I mainly started because I love hemp necklaces and haven't been able to find any in stores for the past few years. Maybe they are out of style now? I don't care. I still like them. So I started making some for myself after reading a little how to article I found online. I started getting a lot of compliments and people were asking if I was selling them. I finally broke down and started making more and listing them with prices on Facebook. And to date I've only sold one necklace and three bracelets. :( But there is hope on the horizon. On Saturday I will be at Ozark Memories Day in Dover, Arkansas with my friend Teresa, who by the way has some awesome photography and jewelry also. I am hoping to sell out, but I wont get my hopes up. I am asking 10 dollars per necklace and 5 dollars for bracelets, I keep thinking that is going to be way to high but we'll see. Most hemp necklaces I've seen go for around 15 dollars give or take a dollar. It doesn't cost me a lot in materials to make the jewelry but it does take up some time, which like I said, I have a lot of apparently.
In addition to making the necklaces I have just started crocheting. I just watched a youtube video about that and picked it right up. I can't believe it came so easily to me. Just started and couldn't quit. I just finished a blanket for my husband today. It took me just about a month to do. It's a good sized blanket. At least six feet long and maybe five feet wide? Not sure, I haven't actually measured it. But it's pretty and he'll like it. Next I will start on one for my niece for Christmas. I should have plenty of time to do it. That is unless my fingers bend to the point of breaking off. Maybe not break off but eventually I could see them being permanently crooked due to constant crocheting. That is such a funny looking word, crocheting. If you pronounced it the way that it sounds it would be like crotch-it-ing. LOL Ok, I'm getting a little wacky here so I guess I better put an end to my first blog. Let's hope it wont be my last...we'll just have to wait and see if I have anything to talk about tomorrow. ;)
